Further cleanup needed for edits by 18.104.22.168 Edit
I'm not sure what prompted the global block of the edits by the 22.214.171.124 IP address, but it has been needed for quite a while. As I indicated on Jomaribryan's talk page, the person's been spamming number pages and number comments for a long time. It's not the only IP address they've used, but it's the one most often used on this wiki.
I did a quick check and they made about 9,000 edits since the first of this year. A large number of the pages and article comments are just "13". January 2019 seems to be when this started, so if you've got a cleanup tool where you can specify it delete any article comments and new pages from 1/1/2019 to present, that would take care of a majority of their spamming. —RRabbit42 (leave a message) 04:50, March 11, 2020 (UTC)
- I just looked at the Deletion log. You've deleted several hundred pages and article comments already and there's thousands more going back to 2018. The scope of how much they've been spamming is even larger than I knew. The thousands of edits shown on their contributions page are what is currently visible. Add in what's been deleted in the past and the total is probably somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 edits. That's for just one IP address.
- Maybe it would be better to not limit what's deleted to a certain time range and just get them all. —RRabbit42 (leave a message) 05:07, March 11, 2020 (UTC)
